The 2009 Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is now open for applications.

If you're aged between 18 and 35 years and have a great idea that will help boost Australia's agriculture, fisheries or forestry industries, then start working on your application now!

There are 13 award categories up for grabs: animal welfare, dairy, eggs, emerging and niche rural industries, fisheries and aquaculture, forestry, grains, horticulture, meat and livestock, pork, processed meat, sugar and viticulture and oenology.

Applications close 5 pm EST Friday, 3 July 2009.
